Hi, Hey I'm going to replace the clutches in my 8.8 posi and I have a few questions.
The last 8.8 I set up I had a heck of a time getting the "s" spring back in
someone said that you can use a hose clamp on the spring and slip it right in.
ever hear of this? How did it work? Or know another way to make it easy?

next question,, can I put an extra clutch and disc on each side to make sure it bites?
I'm going to be using old school factory disc.

Yes,you can use a hose clamp.
I never used that procedure though.
Iirc, you need to compress the spring in a vise, put the hose clamp over, and tighten the clamp.
Put it back in the diff, than cut the hose clamp off.

What I do is use 2 needle nose vise grips, compress the spring, than tap it into the diff with a small hammer, than remove the vise grips.
Works every time.

As for the extra clutch,I can't remember the order off hand.
