I AM THINKING ABOUT BUYING THE COMP CAMS MUTHA THUMPRS BUT NOT SURE IF I SHOULD GET THE PHASER LIMITERS OR THE BBR LOCKOUTS. ALL INPUT WOULD BE APPRECIEATED.

Those cams are meant to run with limiters. Not saying lockouts wont work but the VCT is there to improve low end power/broaden the hp torque curve. Keep as much of it as you can. I have the mutha thumprs with comp cams limiters and couldn't be happier

thank you very much. what about tunning? the add at comp cams said all you have to do is set the timining to where it only has 20 degrees of variance? i have the diablosport predator and i am sure i can do that with it. but the place i bought the predator from i have unlimited tuning with it, i just have a problem with emailing tunes back and forth. also can any local shop tune my car if i take the tuner to them. thank you again

i would get it tuned professionally. Brenspeed should be able to get you a good mail order tune. if you want someone local, make sure they have tuned many S197 mustangs. dont take it just anywhere. do some research first.

I ordered my package from Doug at Bamachips. Mutha Thumpr cams, phaser limiters for 845 shipped. One tune was free. I actually got three tunes free because I'm a returning customer. His mail order tunes fired right up and run fine. I hear Brenspeed has a good mail order tune also

How does the car sound with those cams? Did you gain much in terms of power?
