Comp Cams Polymer upper Intake?

    I was thinking about buying new upper intake from COMP CAMS is the polymer intake it says saves about 55 pounds it $280 my questions do you know of anybody using those intakes.

    i hear it blows compared to others

    and it saves 20 not 55 lol

    and what the heck setup are you running to run a box upper? a high rev 347? a heavily blown car? a w351 based stroker?

    look at the new trick flow box upper it makes more power all around and still has a bit of lowend

    If they came out with a real intake and not the bread box one. I'd like a plastic version of the GT-40, I would so buy that. There really isn't any point in having an metal upper plenum I think. Modern plastic techology is pretty impressive.

    Anyway, I wouldn't buy a box intake unless your building an all out drag car to rev past 6 or7000.
