Compression too high?

    Did a Compression test all cyliners are at 170.

    on a cold motor

    i always thought it was lower like 130 or so?



    does it matter? as long as there all the same?

    The higher the better, as long as they are all around the same then you are good

    yea they all were almost dead on 170

    Those are fine. On new/rebuilt and depending on the cam, I like to see 150-180ish on the cranking compression.
