Thats odd... its one of those things that can be quite annoying to get to seal properly. Your car must've taken quite some time to reach operating temperature without the thermostat.... and how was your gas mileage?

so someone put the housing on.....tightened it and then sealed around the housing where it made contact with the lower intake?!?!? i would be scared to see what else that hack did to that car lol .....

a friend of mine bought a 65 gto and the previous owner put sawdust in the oil pan to thicken it up and show it had pressure lol it was the most cobbled piece of crap i have ever seen he got sooo hosed lol

they put rtv on but didn't let it tack up then tightened it to much.

I used both gasket and rtv.
