help, my upper radiator hose blew up like a balloon. my car is running hot and i replaced the hose and put in a 180 t stat. now its like the hose is full of air, cant squeeze it. can a water pump cause this or a radiator?

Sounds like there may be a blockage some where but I've never heard of this problem. Be sure to post in the tech section too.

Did you put the t stat in the right direction? I've never been able to have a reliable cooling system that stay at the same temp all the time.

the car hasnt actually over heated, it gets to about the L and then it drops down. the fans working and the t stat is in the right way. for some reason its just building up to much pressure or something. i can wait till the hose starts to get firm and let up on the cap and its like it bleeds the air out, i did that quite a few times. no luck
