I have a 1965 coupe that I am resto-modding. The paint needs some help and I am not even close to thinking about a new paint job so I'm looking for some help on bringing the paint back to life. From what I can tell it has been resprayed sometime in its' lifetime. The paint has a nice shine to it but when you get up close there are small cracks in the surface of the paint pretty much all over. I'm willing to take a shot at buffing it out or even calling in a professional detailer. Any product recommendations? Will a clay bar help something like this? Anyone have experience/suggestions?
    Thanks!

3m Rubbing compound. It's kind of like a wax but it's not. you can get it at NAPA and similar places.. Wal Mart carries it too sometimes I think. Many companies make rubbing compound but 3m is my favorite.. its a black bottle with a red label on it.

    Best of luck!
