I attempted to change my ignition module on my 92 2.3....I got the other one on and hooked up, but the car wouldn't start...So, I put the old one back on (the car started fine with it before I began the swap)...now it won't start with that one either!!!! I'm in hell, can anyone help!

Did you put any of the white paste on the back of it before installing it?

did you make sure you put it in the right direction. If i recall, both plugs are the same and it CAN be hooked up backwards. Not sure if that would hurt anything though. Also you should reset the computer with the new module attached and see if that helps (reset by unhooking battery for 30+ mins) Getting any check engine lights?

White paste is on...and the thing is in the right direction (the little UP sticker on it helps :) ).....the only thing different between when it started and not, is that two of the mounting bolts broke off...one is out a ways, but one is broke off close to the mounting block...I bought new bolts for it, but I won't be able to do anything with them until the morning...If that will make any difference at all....I also checked all the fuses, and they're all good...

AH, i dont know for sure the the bolts may help ground the unit to the car. it may not function if its not properly bolted on becuase it may not have a proper ground.
