Will a double hump crossmember bolt into an 89 2.3 auto?

Or, more specifically, does my car have 4.5" or 2.75" between crossmember mounting brakets. My brother has the car so I can't go out and measure.

How hard is it to modify the brackets if I want to do "the swap".

Your A4ld has a different crossmember from the T5 or AOD, so the double hump won't bolt up. The mounting location is furthur back. You would have to try it for yourself if you want to try modifying it...
The real question is... how are you going to bold up an A4ld to a V6 or V8!?!

I'm not, I just want to bolt in a V8 double hump crossmember. I'd be running a T5.

Did your car come with an auto?

The double hump cross member will work with your T5, but not with tha A4ld.
