I believe I have some crud in the gas tank and I am getting no fuel to the carb and already replaced the fuel pump. How do i get this crud out?

Now I've done some thinking. Can I take the gas tank out of the 76 cobra and put it in the 77 coupe. I may put a fuel cell in the cobra.

yes, they're interchangeable, all years of II gas tanks I've seen have been identical. Since my cars seem to do a lot of sitting these days, I've been pulling tanks and sealing them with the POR Tank Sealer. ~$30 per tank. I have a '79 Ranchero that's gotten so bad that it'll clog a new fuel filter withing 10 minutes of running. I already have a freshly coated tank to put in it, but found out my sawzall (and other tools) has "disappeared" from the garage when I went to cut the trailer hitch off the frame so I can remove the tank.
