I have three JL Audio 12W6v2-D4's that I need to have a box made to go into my 2003 GT. I based the system on this one I saw at http://musicinmotion.net/ford.htm. This is an extreme limit of a box.

What do you think is a good price for a custom built box?

A basic box that will handle the three subs up to the one link in the above link.

I also looked at the enclosures on JL's web-site, but you can not buy just a enclosure from them, it has to have the subs in it.

    Thank-you.

Depends on your area. How Hungry the shop is? How big their rep is? If they can even do it?
But If your wanting that enclosure and your paying to have it done, plan on bringing some coin to the table. I've seen less complicated boxes not nearly as finished go for over 1k just for the enclosure.

Parts alone will be in the 2-400 range and with labour should easily bump the 1000 range or more.

Any reputable shop with any box building skills will tell you to do a ported box with only two of the 12's. This will gain you more output, even though you would think that using 3 would be better. The mustang, as great as it is, just doesn't have the required airspace to utilize many woofers.

I was thinking of going with just two. The third I could put in my Expedition.
