$10K off what? The original MSRP as posted by Ford on the Monroney Sticker, or the inflated dealer markup on the 2nd sticker?
I bought a 2007 in June and it was difficult then to find what I wanted. I would say you can get a deal IF you can find a car equipped the way you WANT it.
I got my alloy gt loaded with the exception of Shaker 1000 and navigation in September. I traded in my avalanche owed 25000 and still walked away for 28000 plus extened warranty.

I Saw this V6 mustang with a "fastback" taping option and large back fin (eeeh?) and 17 inch wheels, leather interior, kind of like it, plus its a manual which I prefer. Any thoughts on how low the dealer might be willing to go? Also would they be willing to swap out for the Pony grill option? I prefer that grill. The Accessory Website says its $595 for pony grill. website lists $3,000 ford cash back or 1,000 and 1.9% for 4 years. I got 5 Grand off my new shelby. Blk/Blk 07 5spd. Shaker 1000 and sat radio. They only did that because I work at a Lincoln dealership. They D-planed the GT part and added for the Shelby package...which BTW went up for 08s.
Basically the same car here, everything except Shaker 1000 and Nav. $26,000 ($500 over invoice - $1000 (Ford) - $500 (new graduate)) I live just outside Philadelphia, and this was in June. Figured I got a solid deal.
