being a DD has nothing to do with which one you should choose. i'd highly suggest getting the Xcal2 and upgrading to the Pro Racer Package when you add the cams.

The SCT X2 specificall says it DOES NOT ADD HP. It only lets you adjust things and basically read the engine codes. Which, while nice...i'd rather have the Pred which does the same thing and adds hp. And what is/does the "Pro Racer Package" do?

I think this was answered earlier. To the best of my knowledge, from the factory the SCT X2 comes without a tune and is basically just a flasher. BUT, most mustang part dealers that sell the SCT X2 (like Modular Depot) include a performance tune with the Flasher. The Predator comes with a performance tune in the flasher from the factory. So in the end they will have similar functionality.

Exactly. They are both simply a means to re-flash your vehicle's computer. They both do so in the same way and differ only in the extra features they provide. Kinda like cell phone service. Sprint, Cingular, and Verizon all work toward the same end, having you blab on the phone wherever you may be, but offer different services and pricing to get you there.

Who are you using? I got one also but paid a little more, just curious what other options are out there.

    Thanks.

    Dave at www.injectedracing.com

You have two of the same mods as I do, the SLP catback and the C&L CAI. The best Diablo tuner in the local area is undoubtably Jeremy at HPP Racing. If you haven't been to their new shop it's located in Lewisville.

I familiar with the guys over there.. When I go to a power adder I'll probably have them handle the install and tune.

    Thanks!

Dave is the man! He had a sweet deal on the Predator a while back; threw in lifetime free tunes as well. He also gave us the tune on the same day we gave him the list of mods.

where the hell did you read it does not add hp? it's the same thing as the predator. you can adjust timing and fuel. exactley what you'd need to do to add hp. SCT also provides users with calibrations made specifically for your car, why? to add power. what the hell would be the point of flashing the PCM if it didn't add power?

the pro racer package is the most powerful tuning program available. it's the exact same software tuners use. you can moddify anything in the computer except your odometer. for obvious reasons.

Yeah ok, thats my bad, i read that completely wrong :rlaugh: I read that as: this flasher will not give you more power. I left out the word "only". My bad :owned:

Anyone know what dyno tuner Crazy Horse or La Roccas uses in south jersey? Do they use the Diablo software or SCT? Becasue this will be my deciding factor...

EDIT:Will this work on any other cars? Or you buy them only specifically for their applications? Like I couldn't hook this up to my friends G35 right, this is only set up for fords...

Both the SCT and Predator are vehicle specific; their websites should say which vehicles each will work on. I don't know about the SCT, but the Predator can only tune 1 car at a time; you must re-install the stock tune into the original car to tune a different car. Does anyone know what parameters can be changed with each unit, and to what degree? Is the Pro Racing Package similar in function to the Tweecer RT?

don't believe the advertised hp on the venom kits. stick with SCT. Diablo isn't bad, but SCT is growing fast, and there's a reason for it.
