Well I finally got the WOT A/F straight. Well Kinda. WOT its at 11.9-12.06 its rich but that the straightest i've gotten it!!! :nice: Im waiting for Summit to have the SFI Balancer I ordered back on stock. Then Ill set it a little leaner. Im still at stock J4J1 timing. Which Im pretty excited cuz I've beaten pretty fast cars. Well 2 M3's a brand new one and 1 just before that year. So I cant wait to actually have a good a/f and add timing!!!!!

Good for you Mr. G :nice:

There is more power even yet hiding in that little silver box
    but
Before you start on your attempt to release it ..........

Be aware of these things :D

You got additional fuel being dumped into the mix at 90 mph in the j4j1 with
    it's function of fuel enrichment

To be more safe ... Its good to be kinda low on spark when you start
leaning things back in your quest for more WOT power ;)

Are you having any fun Yet :D

The fuel enrichment crap I took out, so it doesn't add none. What do you about keeping spark low??? You mean to keep spark low to set my a/f and then add spark???

Yes ... talking about WOT fuel ratio adjustments :)
    and
Talking about running 93 grade gas for WOT af ratio dial in

I'd run around 28 maximum total advance while doing maf tweecs

after you got a nice & fat ... flat ... curve established ..........

*** I'd move up to around 12.50 to 1.00 and start to add in more spark
a couple at a time all the while listening for ping

You'll end up in a range of 32 to 38 for best wot spark
    and
    A range of 12.50 - 13.00 to 1.00 for best wot fuel

Of course you will have to experiment to see what your combo likes :D

If using your "seat of the pants" meter and "ear" ping indicator
along with datalogging on the street method ..........

Find out if you got ping anywhere while doing the *** thing from above
    and
Since you got Aluminum heads, I don't think you'll hear ping

Now ... from this point on ... is where the experimenting takes place
    and
It kinda goes like this :D

Say you heard no ping during the *** thing
back off the spark value 6 degrees

lean it out from 12.5 to 12.75 and listen for ping at that reduced spark value
    then
go up with the spark 2 at a time to see if ping occurs at the leaner ratio

Can you see the method to the madness here :rlaugh:

    #1 objective is to ..........
Get your spark table setup for a match of wb display
which allows you to simply fill in the blank (top row of cells in fuel table)
    for desired af ratio :nice:

    as opposed to

Doing more tuning every time you wanna go leaner or fatter :notnice:

When you did the *** procedure the first time
    you accomplished
Finding a maximum spark value while still being safe ... or ... a bit fat

When you did the *** thing the second time
you were starting to sneak up on the fuel a little at a time
    while
doing the same with the spark value

Basically ... You sneak up on the final values of fuel & spark a little bit
at a time when dialing in that last bit of WOT performance.

    Hope that makes sense :)
    and
    If it don't :(

    Ask to make sure :nice:
    cause
This is where you wanna be sure about what your doing ;)

I understood your first sentence then I was just reading words. So can you detect pinging with datalogging??? Im planning on Dyno tuning, I dont want a big fat ticket. You can se pinging on the dyno correct? If so I dont have to try to understand what you wrote corect? :D

The datalog will not pick up ping...but on a dyno it should not be too hard to hear, since you dont have the whole "moving" thing you can focus to hear it. Also the dyno opp. should be able to let you know (make sure to talk with him so you can get out of it if he hears it before you).

If I understand it here ....

You got the first sentence :nice:
    and
All the rest was just a bunch of words that had no meaning :(
    and
You're hoping to find a work around to keep from having to understand
    99% of that info

And here all the time
I thought I was pretty much laying it out step by step
    so
You would not have to be dependent upon a dyno or someone else
    to tune your car

I'm sorry I just did not understand your intentions :bang:

I mean ... You've asked all these Q's lately

    Well ... I just mis-lead myself I guess :rlaugh:

    OK Mr. G

You are just one of those peeps in life :nice:

I can get somewhat confused by the things you say
    but
I just wanna try and help you never the less :D
    and
I somehow in a strange way ... Derive a bit of satisfaction by doing it
    even though
You seem to always have me behind the 8 ball as they say

    Mr. G :hail2:

Don't leave our little family of 94-95 Stang Owners cause I would miss
these bizarre little interchanges we have from time to time :rlaugh:

Just so you have no misunderstanding here :nono:
    In my own way ;)
I paid you a compliment in saying ..... You're not like most peeps

    Now ... I'm gonna point out that it was only Y O U :D
that used the word LOOK when talking about ping :)

I used these words or phrases from above:

all the while listening for ping
    and
    "ear" ping indicator
    and
Find out if you got ping
    and
    I don't think you'll hear ping
    and
    heard no ping
    and
    listen for ping

Now ... it is true I did say this ............

2 at a time to see if ping occurs at the leaner ratio

but ... that ain't lookin for ping :nono:

Come on now Mr. G

You shouldn't be a bustin my chops like this :(

Where else but on 94-95 :SNSign: can you have so much fun
    and
Learn good stuff from so many unique, fascinating, and friendly folk :nice:
