different motors for 2011?

    Okay i am hearing a 6.2L 400hp motor for the GT and a 6.2L supercharged motor for the GT500 is this just talk or is this really taking place for 2011?

    Its just talk. From what I hear, the 6.2L Boss engine was dropped for the Mustang in favour of the Coyote 5.0L DOHC. Its Still good for 400hp though. :nice:

    I really can't speak for the GT500 though, but I would assume anything at this point would be talk since Ford barely let the ink dry on the GT.

    My understanding of the 2011 model is the availability of the 5.0L Coyote V8 for Mustang. 385-400hp, depending on who you ask within Ford.

    The 6.2L V8 will be available for Job 2 of the 2010 SVT F-150 Raptor. Job 1 will feature the carryover 5.4L Triton V8. Whether the 6.2L V8 ever ends up in a Mustang is pure speculation at this point.
