I'm driving an '87 2.3L N/A as a commuter car. I found that the oil dipstick has jumped out of its mounting hole on the bottom of the motor. I figured some silicone would probably fix it good enough. Are there any other suggestions? Is this somewhat common?

when i assembled my motor last month, i just used a little high-temp black rtv silicon (gasket maker) around the ring and bolted it to the bracket on the intake. works great so far.

A lot of silicone seemed to fix it.
