I have a vibration that I feel in the steering wheel, dash, etc.

    It happens at all speeds.

Happens with clutch in or out and in gear or out.

    Occurs under breaking as well.

    Thoughts?

I'm thinking motor mounts, tranny mounts, U-joint.

is it happening at idle? I had the same problem this week. I changed the motor mounts and vibration still there at idle and upper rpm's. Found the harmonic balancer took a dive. replaced balancer and all vibration ceased. Found the outer rubber lining of the balancer seperated and began to come out of the seal area.

Don't feel anything at idle so I don't think mine is engine related. Thanks for the heads up though. Could you visibly see the balancer was taking a dump?

yeah, start the car and if it's bad it will have a wobble to it, like its unbalanced.

or look at it with the car off and you should see the rubber in the middle being squeezed out.

Yeah I could visible see the rubber coming out of the seam. In fact when I took off the balancer and compared it to the new one, there was a 3-4 inch gap where the rubber seperated. there should be a visible seam joining both ends of the rubber together but very little separation. Mine did not have the steering wheel vibration until I started moving at 1500 rpm's and once it idled back down to around 900 rpm's all vibration would cease. Once it got worse then the vibration was constantly there causing driveline vibration, steering wheel vibration, even my windows were vibrating at around 2500 rpm's. You have to raise the vehicle up to look at the back of the balancer to see the rubber separation though.

    I had the same problem

I had the same problem when I bought my '03. One of the factory wheels was out of round caused by hitting something pretty hard. It was hard to figure out because it happened all the time. Had the dealer do a run out test on all 4 wheels and one was bent just enough.

So, what are U gonna do about it? Replace 1 wheel or are you looking to upgrade to new rims?
