For a T-5 swap did you guys use the stock II driveshaft or did you have to add 2inches to it? Infact my car was an auto before is that drive shaft the same as the 4spd or are they differant? I went to get my driveshaft balanced yesterday and the guy said it looks alittle short he seen the rub marks from the seal and it should be in more. He said that would cause vibration at higher speeds. It does vibrate at 60 and up not to crazy but noticable. I dont even know if I have the right driveshaft in the car.

For a T-5 swap, you have to cut 2 inches off the stock (manual) driveshaft. I don't know about the driveshaft in an automatic. The driveshaft yoke should stick out some from the transmission otherwise when the rearend articulates it will bind up.

Could have sworn that the C4 driveshaft was 1.5" shorter than the RAD 4 speed driveshaft. See if I can find one in the pile to measure.

I measured it and got 46 inches. I went back to the guy and we measured the driveshaft and it was 46 inches so I dont know what the hell happened.

That depends on which bellhousing you use. 2" sounds right with the II bell, I only had to take 1" off of my driveshaft using the Fox body bellhousing.

I am using the fox bellhousing also. The guy told me the yoke shoulder has to be 1inch away from the trans and thats what it is.
