i am in the process of replacing many of the old, sun damaged interior parts in my car. the first thing to go was the e-brake. i bought the handle and the cable (came separately). i ordered them from downs ford which is very reputible. here is the problem: the damn cable is too long, there is no tension on it when i try to lift the handle up and engage the brake. what the hell am i doing wrong? is there any way to adjust it? i am positive they sent the right parts, it looks just like my old one. PLEASE HELP!!
