Yes, it sure is. That guy buys Saleen's a tries to turn them for a profit. He's been stuck with this one for well over a year as he paid way to much for it when he bought it. He can't seem to get his money back.......Mark @ PAS knows who he is. If you have any questions about that car, give him a call
I agree with Robert, in my documentations this car has been for sale off and on for over a year and a half! This car has too many Non Saleen modifications!
It's definitely a sweet Cobra, but I'm not fond of Rio Red & would be leery of the modifications, particularly the supercharger. Not to mention his BIN price is unrealistic considering the current market for used Saleens.
I've seen this particular Saleen around many times as well. It would be a pretty good find if it didn't have the Kenny Belle. Also, as everyone else has stated, the guy wants to much for it...
Maybe we should send him a copy of this post so he get's the picture. He would probably be better off taking off the KB blower, putting the car back to original form and selling that mod stuff separately.
I noticed something when I was looking at the modifications. Doesn't it say that it has a S-281 wing?? But isn't that a 351 wing?? I'm just curious because I thought that Saleen Cobra's only came with the 281 and the heat extractor hood?? Correct me if I'm wrong please..
Yes, it's a real car. No, it's not the same car Steve had been trying to sell and finally did. Good eyes guys, but a different Cobra with an S351 wing. Steve's car had a delaer installed Vortech from Jacky Jones. This is another. This is a different guy also. It looks nice. Maybe a bit high on price, but for someone that wants a red, blown sn95 Cobra it's perfect!
Ok, I'm glad that I know that Saleen Cobra's came with a 281 wing. Did they all though?? Or did some come with a 351 wing??
As far as the car: I am not a fan of a blown Cobra engine with stock internals - KABOOM!, nor the radical front seats. The S351 rear wing can easily be changed back to a S281. But the truth of the matter is, those holding the S351 Speedsters (94-98) cars will be dictating the price of these cars in about 5 years or less. If you want one - there are not many to choose from, and in mostly original condition without some "race" engine destroying the car's value. The S281 Cobra will be the same as they are rare, although not worth as much at the end of the day. They will never ever be an S351, as the S351's could be worth a "fortune" in 15 years - and we all mostly know it. There are too many extremely wealthy car collectors out there that will want an S351 Speedster, and even the S281 Cobra Speedster in their collection, and a few million may not be out of the question. After all, if you want one, there are only a handful to pick from, and that person has to be willing to sell - and money talks - along with rarity. Jason www.theelectricgarage.com
We are all entitled to our opinions and that's your's but I do disagree.. and in reality it's not destroying the car's value by upgrading the engine. All that really matters is how the owner values the car in his or her's eyes... And if they decide to sell the car then they might have a problem if they are trying to sell it to a person who wants a mint condition, all original car. But if the person is looking for a race car for the street that's faster than most other cars then they might want a car with a modified motor.. But like I said we all have our opinions...
Well, all I can say is I hope the prices go through the roof. I would love to be on the right side of buying/selling a car for once. I could insure the prices will go out of control, I just need to sell mine, then the prices will shoot up. It never fails.
