Hey guys, I just picked up an Eclipse AVN5435 to install in my 04 Mustang. I've about other people that have done this but after looking at how the factory head unit is mounted I must admit I have no idea how the heck I'm gonna get this thing mounted. Any have any advice/pictures, etc. Thanks.

    DUCT TAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    j/k

YOu'll need a dash kit with the proper brackets to bolt first onto the deck then into the car. (meaning you bolt only the brackets to the deck and the car,no other "filler" or whatnot is used)

You need a Metra dash kit part #99-5807. It's actually for newer ford trucks and 05 Mustangs but it has the brackets to secure a double-din deck into a double-din hole. The standard 01-04 Mustang kit doesn't have the brackets.

I haven't looked up that part number, but the 04 and 05 mustangs take an entirely different kit if I remember correctly.
