eec help please?!!

    i just bought my turbo coupe motor...1986 tc. it has the pc1 computer in it. i was reading some other threads and i read that i can't use an ic?? that was my plans is to get a volvo ic. is there any way to use a pc1 and use a ic?? any info will be great. thanks

    You can run an IC all you want just don't run too much boost with all the cooler air.
    The fuel tables are leaner I believe, but you should still have the brown top injectors ( 36lb )
    Run a fuel pressure regulator and crank it up a bit.

    that ecu is not designed for a intercooled setup, you will see the added benift of "cooler" boost, but not the full potential as if you were to swap in a la/pe series computer. These computers have an ACT(air-charge-temp) along with more agressive timing ...when the ECU sees cooler (more stable) boost, it can further advance the timing for added power.

    ACT sensor affects fuel.
    I don't think they affect timing as the PK1 is very tame anyway as far as advance.
    The LA series ran more boost and cooler air and they needed to control the engine under normal driving conditions. People didn't get out of there cars and adjust fuel or timing.

    Run an IC and bump the fuel pressure and timing .
    In other words tune the thing manually!

    one day i want to get an sds engine managment system. but unitl then...i want to go ahead and put an ic on....and tune everything manually. if that dosen't work for the time being....i guess i'll find me a la3. thanks
