Was 1987 the debut year for EFI on the 2.3?

What was the last year the 2.3 had a mechanical fuel pump?

When did the dual plug head show up? 1991?

The first EFI 2.3T was in 84's...the 83 was carbed. I'm not sure about the N/A's.

The dual plug heads, I'm thinking was only 91-93 on the stangs and up around 96's I think for Rangers.

As for machnical pumps, the EFI's are electric while the carbs are machnical.

I want to say 86 or 87 for NA EFI

Dual plugs came first on the Ranger in '89 and then ended up in the Mustang in '91.
