egr block off plate / check engine light help!!!

    i have a 90 vert with 4.10s,trans go shiftkit, cobra upper/lower, c@l 76mm mass air/down pipe, 70mm professional products tb,k@n, msd,and underdrives.my question is i have no smog equipment at all, holcomb motorsports offers an egr delete plate that i would like to install, will it make my check engine light come on? all my exhaust is 2.5 inch with no cats and it has not come on yet any help with this will be greatly appreciated

    You'll need to go into the computer to turn off the EGR function or purchase a EGR simulator from eBay

    Without doing either of those, the CEL will come on

    Why bother. A functioning EGR valve has no adverse effect on performance, and you'll actually get better highway gas mileage. The performance drop is in the heads and the intake. If you really want to get rid of EGR and pick up some power you want to go with an offroad head and intake.
