Anyone using an electric water pump on a street car?? I spoke to my Proform Rep and he has one on his car. 35 Gal/Min 2500 hour motor life. 15! hp gain from a mechanical pump!! When they first came out they were only suitable for race cars and cost an arm and a leg. Now they are cheap and (on paper) look capable of cooling a street car.

I ran one on my 460 pro street mustang. Only because it would heat up when cruizing because of the low gearing .I think the water was going through the radiator too quickly. Once installed all was fine and it worked well. I also liked the fact that I could stop and cool it down if I had to

I know a few people who run them in their street cars.

I'm seriously considering an electric pump myself. It would be great to cool the engine off almost all the way before putting the car in the shop at night. Keep the heat out so it would stay cool.
