    Hey dudes, and ladies.
My check engine light goes on and off sporadically, when it comes on the car runs like hell,it feels like all power has been pulled out, and it forces the gears to wind out. Both times I've taken it to the mechanic it went off so they couldnt find the problem. Does this sound like a mass airflow sensor problem? what is it! I love this car (2.3 does great on gas) but I'm about to start replacing things left and right!!! Someone throw me a bone.

Sounds like the ICM, do a search and you will find more.

You absolutely must pull the codes. That should point you in the right direction. Otherwise you are paying money to just guess at stuff.

This cracks me up, he's told it's probably the ICM and to search for info...instead of searching for 10 minutes or so for the answer, he makes two back to back posts and waits 4 hours for an answer...

 I like it when someone asks where to buy a part or something that a simple google search or a look through their favorite mustang mag would give them the answer.

Stinger is a founding member, July 2001, and has made many helpful posts about the problem your car is having and others. For example here is a post that should have come up if you had done the search:

Not to mention his site with many more helpful tidbits about 2.3'shttp://www.stinger-performance.com/tech.html

And no you can't have my Mustang magazine. I save them and consult back to them on articles when needed. You need to chill or it may be more than 2 hrs before your next reply :bang:
