Any of you guys swap in an N/A 2.3 EFI into your mustang II?

I am have a complete donor car available with that engine (90 ranger 5-speed) was a peppy car.

I also have the carbed 2.3 turbo sitting around.

And the 5.0 is plentiful if I went that route.

What do you guys think? I woudl love to get the carbed turbo in there, but it don't want to butcher the hood. The 5.0 I would have to pick up everything. The EFI is there. would just need a clutch setup.

Want a nice sleeper for the twisties. What are your opinions?

sounds like a 2.3T may be the best way for you to go then. personally i have a hard time seeing a big v8 handling turns as well as the same car with a turbo 4cyl in it. plus, think of the weight saved.

i like the 2.3T idea, a guy i know who's helped me out a ton is doing a 2.3T in a pinto, i could try to see if i could steal some advice off him for you if you wish.

What is the weight difference between the 2.3 and the 5.0. I always heard that the 2.3 was pretty heavy for a 4 banger.

Chaka how does the vehicle weight of the ranger compare to the II?

There was a thread about it in the 2.3 forum.
