    Few questions about engine coolant.

Manual says it's supposed to be a 50/50 mix of Motorcraft Gold coolant and distilled water. Does the stuff come premixed, or do you have to do that yourself?

(Distilled water -- Mom used to use that in her iron. Available at the supermarket, I guess?)

Also, is there a third-party equivalent for the Motorcraft coolant?

    Thanks!

I think the just say motorcraft becuase ford owns them, or maybe endorses (not sure). In my opinion engine coolant is engine coolant (radiator fluid) you just get what you pay for. My 2 cents.

    mixed coolant = gel.

Use what the manual says to use, that way you can avoid any warranty issues.
