Engine Detailing

    today is the day i decided my engine was way too dirty to be somewhat proud of. i started to clean things up a bit, any tips or anything on detailing an engine? any things that really make the engine look nice? if you have detailed out your engine (especially if its a V6), please post a picture of it, thanks!

    use simple green, its great

    Purple power is good too. Just make sure you water it down right away whenever you spray because it's really strong. Also use a firm brush on stuff like the intake manifold. Use vinyl/rubber cleaner on hoses and plastic. Don't wet the belt, battery, or fusebox.

    Here is a quote from simple green about using it on aluminum.
    For engine cleaning I found 303 industrial cleaner works GREAT.

    I Use a two can spray system. The first can degreases and cleans (safe to spray all over the engine bay) the second can details it and makes it shine like crazy. When I call my wife Laer I'll ask her what it is. ( I am in Bugaria now doing Army stuff). But this stuff is great. about $6-7 a set.
