93 2.3L Engine light came on and the car idled down by about 1/2 normal. Sometimes it does it sometimes it doesn't. When its on I can be going 70mph and the RPM's are at 1500.

A check engine light(CEL) is most easily diagnosed by checking for trouble codes...

seems like your injection problem maybe . . . doesnt have enough fuel or mix correctly to burn on

By the idle dropping, I assume you mean that the tach is off.
If so most likley the DIS module is going bad ( On the front of the intake)
Pull the codes, and you will probably have a code for a coil failure.

223 was one of the codes. I guess I need to replace module. Thanks Guys. Also 23 came up which is the tps. The repair manuel says something about not replacing this on your own because it has to recailbrated when a new one is installed. Anyone heard of this?

What kind of manual have you been looking at? Must be a Haynes or Chilton.

The TPS is usually adjustable(although some are not and have to be modified so they are). All you have to do is set the new one to the right voltage spec at closed throttle.

You misread the codes when you got the 23. That model year only used 3 digit codes. Earlier models used 2 digit codes, but never was there an EEC-IV ecm that used both.
