my 5.0s been running really sloppy lately and sometimes miss firing. i noticed that my fuel pump was whinning really high and loud. I was wondering if maybe my motors not getting enough gas in some cylinders do to the dieing fuel pump? or is the fuel pump whinning because its not getting enough gas because theres a clog somewhere? my fuel pump is in my gas tank so if it does need a new pump how do i do it?
1st you need to check your fuel pressure before you just throw a pump in which isnt that hard but it can be a pain if you have never done it before
