it is impossible. no one has ever done it before, and no one has ever documented it on the internet...ever. google and search buttons are our friends. :dead:

Whats with all this "do a search" crap...everyone that posts on this website and any other forum for that matter can do a friggin search for any answer they need, Im sure their questions have also been posted or answered a million times so why does anyone even bother to post any questions anymore when all you have to do is search...? because people like talking or posting to other people ....deal with it or fight eveyone that asks a question on any forum your on...For example if someone said how do I change the oil on my mustang they can do a search because its simple and straight forward..there is a definite limit im sure its been covered but not everyone knows that or what to look for cant we all just get along:nonono: ...

anyway to answer your question your gonna need the 5.0 mustang wiring harness if you get that from an 1989-1993 mustang it will be a mass air system which is better for upgrading the 5.0 later on...A double hump crossmember ...you might wanna upgrade the front brakes as the 5.0's are an 11" rotor the rearend is 7.5 in the 4 banger you can make that live for a while behind a 5.0 but you can upgrade rather cheaply to an 8.8" ,which came in the 5.0's some cougars and turbo coupes they are a lil bit wider on the turbo coupes and have disc brakes a nice swap for a mustang ...they are geared pretty well also... The fuel lines are on the drivers side on the 2.3 the 5.0's are on the passengers side you can get them from www.classictube.com ,oh and you'll ...ff everything else will work..hope this helps

It's because we don't like typing an answer 6487 times for the same question. Especially on topics that have been around and discussed since 1809.

I own 2.3 and 5.0 cars, and this is best asked on the 5.0 Tech forum here.

Reading between the lines of 83 Mustang's post, its been done a gazillion times, and, there are, in fact dozens of writeups and tips on here and everywhere on how to do it. I don't know that much much about it, because I did the 3.3 liter straight 6 to 5.0 swap, on carbed motors. I just changed crossmembers and the V8 went back in its home nicely.

For a 5.0 efi swap, you are best off to get a whole 5.0 car, because of the various parts you need.

Best part is, every single item just bolts on. ....

Because they don't spend 15 or 30 minutes hanging around getting a feel for the place first. If they had, they would have seen our animosity toward often-asked questions. Believe it or not, the majority of my own had been asked before and thus answered when I searched. In fact, I would much rather search and find an answer right away than wait for people to respond over what could be days or weeks.

The unfortunate limitation is that I almost always have to answer the really hard questions myself with independent research. Do you know of anyone on this site that can tell me the details about using low pressure LPG injection with gasoline injectors and a Megasquirt in a turbocharged application? Didn't think so.

forget about 5.0 im thinking about putting a 2.3L turbo the 5.0 engines are too heavy any ive seen many races on 5.0 and the mostly loose ive seen a 2.3L beating a 5.0L
my question is if do i could add a turbo kit on my 2.3L efl engine or do i have to swap a 2.3L turbo cogar engine

It's been a freaken long time ok so don't quote me to much on this.

You really want to use a turbo block and head....the block has an Oil return line already drilled and set up for a turbo. The N/A block would be a PITA to do but I'm sure it could be done. Also, The N/A head will work but It's better to use a Turbo head since it's got hardened valve seats which is better suited for the turbo ap. The cheapest and easiest way is probaly to buy some cheap 50-75 shot bottle and put on that bad boy ;)

As for the 5.0 swap into a 2.3L car, it's best to find a wrecked 5.0l stang. Also, it's easyier to do the swap if you plan on going carb instead of EFI but that is just boring lol I think I would rather save up mony money and simpy just buy a used GT than to go through all the trouble of doing the swap but thats just me.
