    The roof actually folds and gets stored in the trunk.

    I've seen them, I hate how they look and I dont think they are worth the money or the chopping on a perfectly good mustang, just my opinion

    neat idea but if you want a vert, get a vert and if you want a hard top, get a hard top. just my .02 cents.

    So thats what it is !! thanks guys, as I was taking those photos the owner was convincing me of what a rare factory ford he had, har har, personally I wouldn't chop the car up, especially when you end up with such a gross looking trunk lid.

    Ford did make one of those a retractable, I am not sure if thats it.
    But they decided it was not cost effective. I recall seeing pictures of it back in the 60's.
