I currently have flowmaster mufflers and flowmaster tailpipes. but the tail pipes arent on the car, AND the car has a slight exhaust leak ont he passenger side muffler to h pipe connection. How much you think it will run me to have the leak fixed (looks like the ball/cup design needs to be reshaped, it was flattened out) and have the tails installed? I figure the shop might was well install the tails while they fix the leak, and i cant fix the leak, so im not going to do the work myself.

I also have a set of MAgana flow tailpipes. If they were to install those, they would need to shorten the flow tubes on the mufflers so its a little more involved. BUT cleaning the tips would be easier. Which tailpipes would you go for?

That's all super easy stuff for shop to do. I don't think they would charge more than 50, unless they are just out to rip you off.

a lot of exhaust shops will charge like $90 per hour... and if it takes 5 minutes... guess what $90... why? because they can... try paying with cash though you can usually work out a deal that way

yea cash is pretty much the way im going, im probably going to a local meinke that offers free estimates and the such, so ill look out if the price starts rising. One more thing, especially since you seem to kno alot about it, my car has an off road h pipe, no smog pump, and en expire inspection, is this going to cause me trouble like will they not give my car back or some garbage?

itll be under 100, it cost me 60 bucks for the guy to cut out my tail pipes, and weld new mufflers in, fixing a little leak wont cost much

the most they can do is refuse to touch it because of the illegal offroad parts i believe.

had my car worked on a couple times with exhaust stuff and nobody mentioned anything about my o/r h.

Yea they cant take your car away, dont find a "professional" shop like midas or something like that, find like a muffler man in hickville or something, this guy charged my buddy like an extra 20 bucks to put on an o/r pipe, easy way for him to make money, guys like that dont really care, but you either pay or they dont do it, and your gonna pay..

I have the same exhuest set up. When I took it in, they diddn't mind at all. As long as their not the shop that installed it orginally, they had no problem fixing my leak. I went to a local gas station though.

    >>>>>CASH<<<<< That way you can just have them do it... no receipt, and that way nobody can prove they worked on an illegal car... but do go to a lower class shop... not some big place like midas or anything... its the smaller places that will accept that and they seem to take more time to do it right
