hey guys, I need to change my manifold, so want to ask your opinion on an idea.. just do a custom manifold, put the 1-3 cylinders together and make a downpipe that should go out on the rear left, and do the same for the cylinders 2-4 but make it go out on the rear right don't know if you understand what I'm trying to say.. but your opinion? Could it sound good?
i want to say i remember seeing a post awhile back that talked about a ford minivan that had a header like that on a 2.3 but i dont remember if anyone ever put one on there car. also how would the O2 sensor be mounted on it just curious?
hmm good question.. I know it could be a little more expensive.. but just place one O2 sensor on each and plug the 4 wires to the good one so the code will add themselves.. I think
I'm not so sure that your plan would work. First off, you can't just "do" a custom manifold. It takes lots of work, planning, math, etc. to do this. Second, i've never heard of a split manifold that you speak of, and I don't think having extra-long runners (so this dual thing would work) would be good if you simply want to make a true dual exhaust. So there is a minivan with a diferent 2.3 exhaust manifold?
