My 88 5.0 had Flowmaster no CATS and JBL shorties... I was young and wanted to make noise! Then I had an 02 GT Vert with Magna Flow....not bad but never really impressed me. So with age comes wisdom....my 05 GT vert has a simple ax/back Corsa....probably the best sound ever out of a Mustang! No drone but when you get on it comes to life. $$ wise they are a lot but worth every penny.

Congrats on the Stang! I would recommend an axle-back exhaust, and/or headers and/or an X/H-pipe.

I have flowmaster american thunders, they are a pretty good value. Here a video i made, Im not really on it hard but u can hear it pretty well. Another thing thats great for performance but sounds good is a cai. It def opens it up and really gives u that muscle car sound. heres the ink to that video.

I like the FRPP Sport axel back.
Nice sound and very little drone.
