I noticed that too. For such allegedly rare vehicles, there have been quite a few Extremes showing up on eBay of late.

I guess it's no different than a few months ago when Saleen Cobras were popping up every couple of days & prior to that it was S351's.

These things tend to go in cycles.

That first one listed is less than an hour away from me...reminds me of my 2001 S281-SC convertible that was also mineral gray. A great looking color on a Saleen. I agree with the second listing, the rims, hood, and two-tone paint scheme just doesn't look right. The red and white E-cars are pretty nice too. Seems like you only really see convertibles up for sale.

Internally, did they only get upgraded forged pistons and rods...or what else was upgraded internally? I've also heard cams? That blower snout pulley is HUGE! What is the stock dimension on it...and what boost level is stock?

I think the person who owned the second black car was trying to go for the Coddington/Roush California Edition Paint Scheme which was actually a decent looking car. These cars still demand high dollar.

Putting that paint scheme on a Saleen, however, is not only confusing, it looks awful.:notnice:

And the wheels....ohhhh man. Gotta go. Same with the frickin limo tint. Also, I noticed the front rotors are cross-drilled and slotted, I don't think Saleen offers that mod. Sounds like some after-market tinkering. This car has way too many things missing.

If it went for cheap it would be nice to put this car back in original shape....

I was also wondering the differences between an SC and Extreme. As far as boost level the owner of # 12 Extreme says he was getting 8 to 9 PSI stock where I have had people keep a close eye on my gauge at 6K RPM and it goes to 12PSI and I saw on the red 02 eBay add that he claimed 13PSI????

    Good question......

That's a 4 inch pulley. As for exact boost, it will vary a bit on weather conditions, your altitude etc. A difference between 1-2 lbs. of boost does not mean any two exact model cars has anything different with them. Just the nature of it. 12 pounds is actually really healthy for your car if it has the stock pulley. Mike ( 02-0012 ) had a few issues to deal with with his set up.
Just the crank, rods and pistons, forged. If you upgrade your fuel you can run 18 pounds as long as your heat exchanger is healthy.
