at what temperature does the fan come on? My gf's has 96 stang with a 99 v6 ati-procharged built motor with a 96 computer + chip for 99 mods, so its pretty much a frankenstein. After she had someone put whiteface gauges the temp gauge needle was removed and not put back on properly, so its WAAY off... and recently I installed a full set of autometer c2 gauges... I let the car warm up to 200* and the fan STILL didnt come on... I put a 160* thermostat in and I would like the temp to kick on at like 180-190'ish... 200*+ is damn high. Is this a sensor/ohm that could be changed orrr is this programmed into the computer and possibly can be altered with a chip modification?

    thanks!

both, hit a dyno, fix it there + you get the car tuned properly and know the specs
