alright i'm buying my heads for my build should i get the heads machined for the loc wire gaskets or should i just get the heads for regular gaskets.

are these gasket and worth the extra money?

i'm getting eddy victor jr heads, 70cc combustion chambers, and i'm hoping to add boost later in the future.

    thanks for the help guys

I don't care for the idea of O-ringed heads

I'd rather pop a hg if something goes wrong

Kind of a fuse ... or safety net ... if you will :D

loc-wires require the heads to be o-ringed, like this:

Don't get them like Grady and Blackvert said go with regular gaskets. I had o-rings AFR 185s way back when and it sucked when you did blow a head gasket and then mill the head and then get another set of grooves cut in...just more money at the machine shop.

thanks for the advice guys i didnt think about the gasket acting like a fuse and protecting the heads and the rest of the motor really.

I have them and i believe them to be pretty good. but agian ive heard bad things on here about the cometic gaskets too. getting them to seal seems to be a problem, never had a promblem that way with mine...My only complain really is that they are pricey and you cant just buy a complete kit of gaskets you always end up buying the oring gasket seperately
