Firewall Hole?

    I'm needing to drill a hole in my firewall to install a firewall grommet to run 4 gauge amp wire through...but I have no idea where to drill the hole at? Anyone have any ideas? My car is a 2002 Mustang GT

    Go through the steering shaft boot.

    I've seen a few people do that and I wouldn't recommend it. I drilled two holes just below the main wire harness that runs through the firewall. One of them is for my 2 awg power cable, and a smaller one for my alarm wires. Here is a pic from the inside...
