I ran my car today at the local dragstrip. First time I've ran it and I wasn't expecting any great numbers. Here are my numbers.... R/T ... .054 60' ... 2.019 330' ... 5.762 1/8 ... 8.836 MPH ... 79.91 1000' ... 11.485 1/4 ... 13.718 MPH ... 101.02 I was pretty happy with this run, considering I ran with regular old Fuzion ZRI street radials. My other run was a 13.999 @ 100.03 with a crappy 2.149 60'. I ran a 2003 Mach 1 on my best run, he ran a 12.829 @ 107.41 with slicks and 4.30 gears. Here's a vid of the run...I'm in the near lane btw... http://s98.photobucket.com/albums/l261/tbone764/?action=view¤t=SD530108.flv
Not the 1st time down the track, but 1st time in the '02 GT! I used to have an '89 GT that I ran about a dozen or so times!
Getting a sub 2.1 sixtys on street tires is pretty good. Took me several trips before I started getting it down.
They do a really good job of prepping the track here. My second run wasn't quite as good on the 60' side(2.14). Both were better than expected though!
Killer times for a stock-ish car! Really?? I guess my low 1.9's on 245/45/17 GS-D3's aint shabby then.
Great #'s man. I pulled a 2.0 on my stock zr45 goodyears first time ever at the track in any car. Best time was a 13.77 at 101. With my 3.73s and exhaust. Keep practicing and yea it gets way more addicting im going to the track on sunday weeee.
Nice run. Don't be so hard on your Fuzion’s. They're rated as highly in all categories as tires costing twice as much, which is exactly the same reason I bought a set for myself. The 2.1 60-ft time wasn't bad, but judging by the video, you're coming out of the winter season where you are right now and the track looks cold. Once the sun shines on it a little while, those 60-ft times will drop even more still. Props on not wasting your time with a big long smoky burn before your run! Blowing the tires off on street radials is a waste of time and would probably do you more harm than good.
