I'm considering the axle-back Flowmasters with factory pipes. I've heard the video clips (which are so hard to judge) and they sound throatier and deeper to me, with a bit of "burble." I had 40 Deltas on my 2000 GT and F-150 and loved them.

However, I've heard a couple of people say that they dislike the Flows on 2005+ GT's. There's a set for sale on the StangNet classifieds, actually.

Has anyone here tried these mufflers with an otherwise stock exhaust. If so, what did you think? If you didn't like them, why?

    Thanks!

I use that setup, and love it. Drops the exhaust note an octave, doesn't enhance the burble as much as I'd like but does have a nice deep sound that isn't too loud, but louder than stock, plus they look great.

OK, thanks for the input. I do want to hear a bit more inside the care, both at idle and at WOT. :nice:
