Hi all, I am brand new to this site/forum & my query is a Ford query rather than a Mustang query. My FMX transmission was fully rebuilt 4 years ago. It sits behind a 351C 2V which was fully rebuilt 13 months ago. The car goes fine except for a refusal to launch on steep hills. Simply won't go at all unless I get a run-up and even then she objects like hell. A buddy had these exact symptoms in his '88 Falcon recently & the issue turned out to be band adjustment. For any of you with FMX experience, what are the chances that mine is nothing more than a band problem? PS.....the above combination resides in a Series III XJ Jag. Good ride.
