:SNSign: alright guys when building a motor wat all special stuff would you do to it to be able to run the bottle SAFELY compression ratios...i know with boost you want a low compression does this really matter with spray...i think i remember reading that it doesnt but i'm not sure is there any thing else that would keep the juice from burning my motor up i dont know much at all about the stuff so i'm really asking for any and all info on it thanks for the help guys
I thought I've heard that running high compression is OK with NOS. that's why all the rice-burners use it. The NOS actually cools the intake charge. Just retard the timing when you use it.
Actually Nitrous likes compression. You do however need to run higher octane gas. Get a wet nitrous system because they add the extra fuel for you and do not depend on the injectors to pick up the slack. Also remember that you need to retard timing for every 50 hp shot of juice. Also fore every 100hp shot of giggle gas you need to go 1 step lower in plug temp.
Why for some reason do i think that I heard that with really high compression that is harder to tune or should I say it is more unstable or something like that.
thanks for the input so really all i would need is a good tune and a wet nitrous kit and a timing retard i am plannin on building a 408w this summer and i'm thinking bout goin with a 150 shot instead of makin it boost ready for supercharger would any other percautions need to be taken besides forged internals, timing retard, good tune, and a wet nitrous system
I'm running a 100 shot of Dry with a ZEX system; here's what I did: 1. Retard timing 2* [1* for every 50] 2. Autolite 24 plugs [not platinum or anything, just 24's, 25's are the normal] 3. Don't spray below 3000 rpms [MSD box with 2 rpm pills] 4. Highest octane gas I can get 5. Keep an eye on fuel pressure and listen for detonation.
