Hey guys... I just bought a 2005 GTO (don't flame yet!) and I did it using GM's GMS employee pricing which I got from a guy over at LS1GTO.com.

A good friend of mine is wanting a 2005 Mustang, and I was wondering if Ford offers anything similar  Anyone help me out?

For the record I've also owned a 2001 Camaro SS, and 2003 Mustang GT :flag:

Well you can use something similar called x- plan and so on but a lot of dealers aren't accepting it cause gt's are pretty hard to come by right now so they cans till get msrp or higher

I would be more concerned if you can find a Mustang GT a a car lot. If you do find one, most are over sticker price without a discount. 99.9% of dealers will not accept any X Plan or any other discounted plans. Ford made a mistake on calculating the demand for the car and will most likely not correct it for at least 1 year. This may hurt Ford in the long run because people will not wait 1 year for a car.

While Ford did not correctly guess demand. The plant building them is running at full capacity. So I am not sure how they would be able to "correct it".

One of several discount plans that Ford corporate gives to various groups. The X-plan is for the friends and family of employees, employees of suppliers to Ford, select colleges, and various other groups.

Price wise, it is just a bit over invoice price. The big point is that you get it without haggling.

I think it would take Ford over a year to just admit to themselves, that the brand new Mustang plant was built way too small.

And they certainly are not going to build a new plant for the mustang.

I'll wait 5 years if that's what it takes. I will never pay more than 1000 over invoice for any car.

I got a V6 on x plan with no problem. Would have gotten it on a GT had my dealer had one.

    I thought X-plan was A-plan plus 4% plus $150.
