Does anyone know if the Ford Racing Handling package ( M-2005-FR3) will work on a convertible? Everyone who is selling it says it fits coupe. I have a covertible and was considering this package.
    Thanks

Of course it fits the convertible, I don't know why the ads you've seen say coupe but there is no difference between suspensions. Enjoy it too I have it on mine and what a difference over stock junk!! :nice:

Except that some of the GT coupes were supplied with rear anti-sway bars that would not fit around the convertibles' body braces.

    Paragraph 7:

The bar (No. 5) shown in this drawing has the wiggles that clear the body braces:

I understand later production used a bar that fit both. I don't know if what FRPP puts out fits the convertible, but I bet they do.

This is the best people can give you?

This guy obviously does not own a convertible.

Okay from what I know the kit can have problems with the two braces under the car that may interfere with the sway bar in the FRRP handling kit.

Thanks for the replies. Saleen says that their kit will work on either, coupe or vert. I will try to get an answer from Ford Racing. If I do I'll let you guys know.

How does it make the ride different? Just curious.
Does it make it firmer, or just better? (Not neccesarily the same thing)...

it stiffens things up. you get lower springs, stiffer shocks, and bigger sway bars.

Is this upgrade worth the money? I want to lower my car. Do you need to upgrade shocks and sway bars in order to lower the car? Or is that just best practice?
