Ford Wheels

Does anybody know which OEM Ford Wheels best fill out the rear fenders on the 94/95 cars?

'95 Cobra R wheels are probably the best with 275/45s out back and 255/45s up front.

I have a set of '95 Cobra R wheels with BFG DRs for track use. They are much wider than my stock tri-bar wheels and fill out the wheel well nicely.

are they flush with the fender?

i dont know any wheels that sit flush with the wheelwells not oem maybe deep dishes come close or you could use those 1" spacers i just accept the fact that our cars are shaped like jelly beans

No, not flush. Its about 1/2"-1" tucked under the fender. No OEM Ford wheel is going to be flush on a 94-98 Mustang.

Now, you could get a 99-04 Mustang GT rearend and put the same Cobra wheels on and be pretty close if not totally flush with the fender.
Reason being is because the 99-04 rearends are 1.5"wider than the 94-98 rearends.

The widest wheels Ford offered were the 17x9 1995 Cobra R, 18x9 2000 Cobra R, and the 17x9 2003-2004 Cobra's. Just search through here and look for pics, plenty of people have them. But if you don't want to search...here's one of 04 Cobra's with 275/40s on my '95 GT.

I think I have decided to get the 03 Cobra's in Machined finish since I prefer the look a little bit over the 95 R. I would go with the 2000 Cobra R's but I already have a pair of 17 inch drag radials and I am trying to do something cheap that can hold me over till the day (long way off) I can afford some nice forged aftermarket wheels like Fikse or HRE. I will be running 275/40 nitto's out back and 255/45 firestone firehawks in the front.

If you want to fill out the rear fenders then you either need to run 1" spacers or step up to 10.5in wide rear wheels. Ford doesn't make a 10.5in wide wheel you will have to use a replica. If you buy the ford center caps from summit then you won't be able to tell the difference.
