ive got a 87 2.3l, 4cyl, auto, the engine is shot. im looking into either rebuilding the 2.3 but i figure since im alredy gonna be messing around with the machine i might as well look into dropping in something with more power. which leads me to my question; how easily does a 5.0 bolt up into the 2.3l and which other parts would i have to change to suit? a diff maybe? tranny to support the power?

i understand a lot of questions are being asked over and over so if any1 is tierd of answering please re-direct me to a thread which explains the similar topic. thanks a lot

Try searching the 5.0 Tech forum.

Aside from changing the transmission, k-member, front suspension, rear end, and incidentals, it's totally a direct swap.
