front strut difference?

what is the physical difference from my 89 strut with a 2.3 to a 89 with a 5.0 engine? i keep seeing two different parts, will the 5.0 struts fit and work?

The mounting "ear" for the struts is wider on a 2.3L spindle than that of a 5.0...so no, you can't use V8 struts on a 2.3/10" brake spindle. You can put 2.3 struts on a V8/11" brake spindle though.
