My front sway bar bushings are squeaking pretty bad and make the car sound like a POS. They look stock so it's time to replace them with high performance greasable parts. I measured the sway bar in several places and it's 1.375 inch or 1 3/8 inch or 35mm. Is that the stock diameter for a '97 Cobra.? Also, what is the best type of greasable bushing and where should I order some.? All opinions, comments, and suggestions are welcome.
    Thanks, Steve

    Hey Steve...

I found Steeda had some good reference material concerning sway bar sizes: "Steeda Tubular Front Swaybar Page" Looks like a stock one is 29mm... im thinking prev owner swapped an eibach or steeda 35mm one . The only place that I found a replacement is a Prothane 35mm from Max Motorsports' website... $14.95, Part # 6-1133-BL. Im not at all sure about the quality here but I do know that both Maximum Motorsports and Stang Suspension have been really helpful in the past if you want to give them a call. Good luck.

Ps lemme know when youre close by again, got my exhaust set up and tune DONE! :nice:

Yeah, my 96 Cobra has a 29mm bar. I bought Energy's from 50 resto. Haven't put them on yet, but I installed them on both of my notchbacks, and they fit good. I greased them before install, because they don't have fittings.
